Dashboard PC mod

Here is another modding project i made in march 2007. I put the mainboard and harddisk etc. in a wooden case which would be the stand at the bottom. Then i had to lengthen all the cables. At the top there is the dashboard/the input console for the user.

I wanted it to be 2 main parts. The PC at the bottom and the Dashboard at the top. So every cable that had to go from bottom to top was separated. The outcome was this cinch-board where all the cables came together and the hole bundle was connected to the other part of the mod.

In the Dashboard i fitted a Wacom Tablet instead of a mouse. I just had to put it under the top plastic layer, the signal went through, so that went really well.
As you see at the top of the dashboard there is a switch and a power-led for every cable i had to separate earlier.

The finished mod:

KeyWrite. The Tool that types in passwords for me.

i have made several version of this tool. For the newest one, i have taken a keyboard apart. put in an usb hub. There is just the regular USB cable that goes to the PC and connects the keyboard, the KeyWrite and an micro sd card reader. The KeyWrite reads the encrypted passwords from an SD card. The masterpassword to decypher all the passwords is hardcoded on the device. I use a Teensy 4.1 with a screen, buttons and rgb leds, everything is connected to a custom pcb. I even made a stand for it to connect the KeyWrite without a keyboard. and a video in action   and here are some pictures of previous versions.
